There's nothing like a good cover. Some people say they should never be made. I disagree. Sometimes they are better than the originals. As long as thought has been put into them.
The best cover versions are those which have a very different interpretation than the original. The worst are one's that have been copied to sound almost identical or just plain bland.
Of course there is nothing new about cover versions. Probably as long as there has been music someone else has covered it.
