The Indian Association in Sapporo or IAS is an independent group formed by the students at Hokkaido University, Japan and Indians residing in Sapporo. The group was formed 7 years ago by the then Indian students of Hokkaido University and eventually grew year by year.
The group is keen towards making lives of Indian students better in Sapporo by organizing social , culture and sports activities. Every major festival from India is celebrated with enthusiasm. International cultural exchange between Japanese and Indian students is one of our main aim.
We also offer our help to new Indian students coming to Hokkaido University by giving them assistance for finding good apartments, Low cost shops and places around Sapporo.
This group is open to all previous and future Indians coming to Hokkaido University. Japanese students and residents of Sapporo are most welcome to join this group to know more about India and Indian culture, food and festivals.
