This group was created as an online discussion group for Daegu's multilingual newspaper, InDaegu, which was an extension of Galbijim.com, a leading information source for living, working, and travelling in Korea. Galbijim.com has since rebranded to everydaykorea.com. As a result, you may often see links or promotions to everydaykorea.com displayed on the group wall or pinned posts.

A few rules:

1. Anything goes, for the most part. Discussion among expats in Daegu or products/services posted by those promoting to foreigners in Daegu.

2. To increase the visibility of posts that have higher user engagement (At least 1 Like or Comment on the post), we have a shelf life on posts. New posts that don't receive any comments or likes within the first 3-12 hours of posting will be subject to review/removal (if the new post occurs during a peak time for user engagement, such as afternoons or evenings, there should be no reason why your post is not receiving at least 1-2 comments or Likes within its first 3 hours, unless people are ignoring it/viewing it as PR spam). This is not intended to totally weed out promotional spam, regardless of commercial or non-commercial intent. PR of your event, group, function, sale item, etc...is welcome. But won't be acceptable if you are just copy/pasting the same thing from one group to the next with no effort to tailor your promotion to our group and making a meaningful effort to stimulate discussion/likes. And likes/comments other than your own. As a request, for any member who clicks on a PR post or has shown some form of interest (ie, clicking on a link to the event, PMed the user with a question, etc...), please give that post a Like to show that it had relevance to you.

3. Discussion about issues not directly related to living in Daegu or Korea is permitted, as long as the discussions are involving members living in Korea.

4. We reserve the right to remove posts or ban members if it involves trolling, inflammatory comments, etc...This does not mean that we immediately will jump up and do something each time that a member complains about another member. But we'll do our best to take an impartial and unbiased view of the situation before determining what to do, if anything. As situations arise, some people require a 'time out'. This will involve a banning from the group. The banned user is welcome to request to join the group again, but might need to wait anywhere from a week to a month before access is granted again. Repeat offenders will receive a permanent ban and will be unable to locate this group on Facebook searches. Members who really push the envelope may receive permanent bans, regardless of their past ban history.

5. Please email us at indaegu@gmail.com, if you have further ideas to improve the flow of this Group or any other related questions.
