This group is for selling/trading items within Monroe County. It was created to eliminate the stress of driving distance between Monroe County and Downriver residents. Downriver members are welcome, but will be required to meet in the Monroe County area - there will be no exceptions to this rule.

Sellers/Buyers, it is your responsibility to obtain a telephone number in case of emergencies to notify members if you will be late / unable to meet / etc. The excuse "well I didn't have her number to tell her" is getting really old, really quick.
FCFS:
The site is based upon a first come first serve basis. FCFS in no way refers to who can drive the fastest to your house! FCFS is based upon the first comment on an item. Members are to commented "interested" / "mine" / "want" or something of the like to reserve their place in line. (Merely asking a question, such as "is this blue or green?" does not mark your spot in line. Unless it is accompanied with the word "interested".) Anyone else interested thereafter may comment "next in line" / "interested also".
Should the first member pass on the item for any reason, the seller is to then proceed to the next person in line, and so on. Typical protocol is 24 hours for response time. Should a member not respond after 24 hours from their comment, the seller is then free to skip the member and move on to the next or mark as *availble!
BIDDING:
This is NOT ebay. There is NO outbidding. Sellers may mark an item as "OBO" or "firm" to indicate their flexibility on the price of an item. OBO is in no way grounds for beginning a "highest bid" session. This seems to be a touchy situation, so allow me to provide an example!
Nicole marked "$20 OBO"
Sarah comments "Will you take $10?"
Nicole respondes "I'd like to get $15"
Christi comments "I'll give you $15"
*This items is NOT sold to Christi. Sarah should be given the chance to counter offer and accept the price of $15 or pass on the item. Christi does not "win the item" by accepting the seller's asking price. Again, this is NOT ebay!
