With the advent of winter, various migratory birds start arriving from the hills and from other countries to the plains and waterbodies of India. We enjoy watching these migrants and some of us also photograph them. They migrate to escape the marsh cold climatic conditions of the higher latitudes and the mountains. Most of these birds arrive after travelling for thousands of kms and finally they have reached their winter quarters. Here they will spend the entire winter season and will again start leaving by the end of February. These birds will enjoy the warmth and the abundant food available in our country. Lets wish these "avian guests" a very warm welcome.
