Murat Football Club is made up of both new and long time players. The name murat comes from the three small islands that make up the St Mathias Group of Islands in the New Ireland Province of Papua New Guinea.
The Club was formed in the early 80's with the aim of playing football and keeping the community together in terms of socialising.
It's very existence is from the committment shown by all muratians and their associates.
