The Poynor Volunteer Fire Department exists to provide 24-hour fire protection and emergency medical care for the city of Poynor, Texas and the surrounding area of Henderson and Anderson Counties. We are an all-volunteer firefighting force led by five officers and two administrative personnel with a total of 14 firefighters. We currently operate three pieces of fire apparatus: one pumper (2000 gallons of water), one brush truck (400 gals), and one brush/rescue combination truck (400 gals). We currently operate one station at 12161 FM 315 based in Poynor.
