GROUP RULES (Updated 9/16/2014)

This page was created because we were seeing a significant increase in Facebook posts regarding thefts in and around Cherokee County. Most of the target locations are residences and vehicles. Our primary focus is crime prevention but we also talk about important issues such as weather and road conditions, missing/abducted person reports, etc.

Please DO NOT post the name of anyone you believe involved in the theft unless an arrest has been made by law enforcement or the case information has been released by the media. Remember that everyone is innocent until proven guilty.

We encourage everyone to take pictures of your valuables, write down serial numbers, engrave identifying marks on the property, and more importantly, post your stolen items here so that our social network can help the police find the items and arrest the people responsible for committing the crime.

Comments, web links, videos, and all photographs posted to this page are monitored by site administrators, and inappropriate content will be removed when it is discovered.

Admins reserve the right to remove inappropriate content, including, but not limited to, those items that: contain obscene language or sexual content; contain racist or discriminatory statements; threaten or defame any person or organization; violate the legal ownership interest of another party; promote violence; promote illegal activity; promote commercial services/products; engage in political activity, or post multiple similar/duplicate posts (commonly referred to as "spam"). Persons who violate these terms of use may be permanently banned from this group, without warning.

Law enforcement officials can’t fight crime by themselves. They need our help. Together, we are an extremely powerful force.
