All Mums & Mums-to-be who live in the Top End- no matter what age or age of children are welcome to join our group.
All members are asked to be respectful & kind here, we are all so very different & have different ways on raising our children. We have a zero tolerance to bad behaviour, any members who cannot respect our groups wishes will be deleted 'WITHOUT WARNING'. (This includes slander/bad mouthing of a person or business). Swearing is unnecessary and will not be accepted.
We welcome Local Business advertising, but please do not advertise excessively (no more than ONCE a month) you will be deleted WITHOUT WARNING if you chose to ignore this request. IF THE ONLY THING YOU DO HERE IS ADVERTISE – YOU WILL BE REMOVED, this is not the main focus of our group.
We are looking to start Top End Mums Sunday Trade (once we reach 1000 members) for ‘Top End Mums with businesses’, Every Sunday 8am – 8pm, Mums with Businesses are able to upload ONE POST & buyers are able to comment SOLD to purchase their items. All sellers & buyers will be responsible for their own dealings. Rules will be in our files section soon.
Please DO NOT post your second-hand goods for sale, there are several other local Facebook groups for this.
We have our Top End Mums Monthly Photographic Competition, each month a theme will be chosen & prize donated by a local business. Members are welcome to upload one photo to the appropriate album created. Please read rules in our files section.
We have created a number of files within our group, with very helpful information; all you need to do is click on the Files tag & view. If you are looking for something, I’m sure it is posted there.
Our group has been designed to be run by it’s members, you can post to the wall, upload photos, create & update files, create events (social -non-business) & add your friends to our group (to be approved to admin). Please refrain from posting requests for charity or donations; these are better suited to your personal page or other community pages.
If you think some of us mums may be interested in something… POST IT!
We have several Admins, all we do is monitor the group, delete any inappropriate photos/comments, accept members into our group and we can post anonymous comments for you on your behalf. If you find that your post has been deleted – please respect the Admins decision to do so, we are trying our best to make sure Top End Mums sticks to our high standards as listed above.
Although advise is given here by your fellow Mums, it is highly advised & recommended to always seek advice from professionals especially for medical reasons.
