Northwest Corner Chatter is a group dedicated to the positive contributions, announcements, and information about our small community, where a hearty discussion on all subjects including religion and politics is welcomed so long as the posts and comments do not violate the simple rules listed below:

Here are the rules for posting as of 1/7/2015:
1) All discussions and comments must be conducted respectfully.
2) Topics must be in good taste.
3) No swearing, cussing or taking the Lord's name in vain. FAUX swearing including the removal of letters or inserting substitute markings for letters in swear words is swearing.
4) Asking members for charitable donations of items or cash or to support an unsanctioned charity is not allowed unless prior approval has been obtained from Chatter administrators.
5) Anyone who posts someone else's identifiable information such as name, address, etc without that person's consent will be immediately banned and the post deleted. This includes posts regarding ongoing police actions, auto accidents, etc. This also relates to posting photos of individuals without their knowledge for the purposes of humor against them. There will be no bashing of businesses allowed as we can neither prove or disprove the claims. All negativity will be kept to a minimum.
Decisions of the administrators in administrating the rules are final. As stated above if a post or comment violates a rule above it will be deleted. Some of these rules are subjective and decisions are made to the best of the abilities of the volunteers who seek to make the community better with this group. Please consider that the public is not welcome to swear, solicit without prior approval or act disrespectfully in most of the brick and mortar establishments we visit every day (schools, stores, etc). It is not considered censorship when publicly owned and traded companies enforce rules of decorum in their establishments.
