This group came about almost by accident! We (myself, hubby and 2 children) moved to High Ackworth in December 2014 not knowing a soul. I am believe it or not a very shy person but made the decision to put myself out there to meet people to help my little ones Dexter (3) & Juno (4) settle in and make some friends and hopefully some for me too I posted a little plea on Wakefield NCT page and it went a little crazy with lots of other mummies feeling in a similar situation to me. There are a few things on in the village but we decided it would be nice to have our own little page where we can arrange socials and get togethers or whatever anyone wishes to ask, share or show! Anyone one local to Ackworth is welcome to join us, come on in and make yourselves at home. The more the merrier.
