Homebirth Cesarean

Homebirth Cesarean is a English group. It is a CLOSED group. Homebirth Cesarean has 2,738 members. So people rank it like a Medium group. 269845423099636 is the identifier of this group with Facebook. We last updated on 2015-02-24 02:03:13.

This group’s membership is limited to:
- Mothers who intended to have an out-of-hospital birth (at home or at a free-standing birth center) and had to transport at some point in their pregnancy or labor to the hospital for cesarean
- Midwives, birth workers, care providers and advocates

Topics:
Mothers can share their journeys, insights, questions, and stories. Maternal health workers (including but not limited to therapists, doulas, midwives, NDs, chiropractors, activists, birth photographers, etc) are also welcome to be part of this group to listen, ask questions, and learn.
The intention of bringing both HBC moms and the birth community together is so practitioners can listen, ask questions and learn how to better support HBC mothers.

Sharing Resources/Soliciting:
-We welcome posts sharing classes and resources that pertain to the homebirth cesarean experience and/or mission of HBCI. (viewable here: http://homebirthcesarean.org/about-2/).
-Solicitations for research participation require the approval of an administrator to post.
-We welcome fundraising posts for groups that pertain to the mission of HBCI. Fundraisers may post twice in the private group, and unlimited times on our public page.

Code of Conduct:
Our group is a safe space to share the wide range of emotions that emerge for everyone involved in the labor, transport, cesarean birth, and aftercare of an HBC mama and baby. It is also a place to share information and insights.
We ask that everyone be sensitive to mothers as they share their deepest fears, thoughts and stories. Listen and choose appropriate times to comment and ask questions.

Other Resources:
While our group membership is limited, we understand that women planning in-hospital natural births are also in need of a healing space. If you are such a mother, we recommend the following resources:
