Bayside Modified was established to bring car/truck/bike people together. The group is drama free and moderated for argumentative posts. Please feel free to invite any and all of your car friends!
All people looking for approval to the group must respond to a message from one of the admins about how they came to find out about the group, and what they drive. New members are asked to post a picture or two of their ride and some information about it. We will have scheduled events, as well as last minute events usually posted by the users.
ATTENTION NOT EVERY CAR EVENT WILL REQUIRE AN EVENT. Since we live in a technological age, we rely on cell phones to communicate more readily and people are invited to post about certain car events that are not already discussed or posted.
The meeting spot for this group is generally on the East corner of 3rd and State parking lot, across the road from UPMC Hamot's parking garage. Typically meeting times at that location are around 7:30pm till whenever. In the colder months we will be having "get togethers" once a week at Andy's Pub in town.
Bayside Modified also has a "list" in which everyone in the group is invited to enter. This list refers to drag racing at local drag strips. What you do is simply send the admin a picture of your fastest time slip. There are rules to getting on "the list", they are #1 you must be a member of Bayside Modified, #2 It must be from the most current year, #3 If you sell your car you will be removed from "the list", #4 You must be the driver of your own car. We allow pretty much anything on the list, from full blown racecars, motorcycles, SUV's, trucks, to the slowest car in the group.
We also have a very large number of SCCA Misery Bay Region members on the page. SCCA events are basically autocross, in which drivers drive through a cone lined course as fast as possible. If you wish to get ahold of one of the SCCA members, either simply put a post or feel free to message one of the admins.
This group has grown steadily over time, and has proven to be a very very active page. If you have any car related questions do no hesitate to post it on the page, we have numerous car technicians that are members on here that always help. Let's have some fun here and make some new friends!
