The goal of this group is to for the members of the group to refine themselves as good, thinking Jews through spirited discussion and critical thought, and to collectively arrive to better understandings of what being Jewish in the modern age should entail.
While we appreciate discussions of halakha le'ma'aseh (practical application of halakha), this group is not intended as a place for highly personal case by case halakhic rulings. Please consult a qualified authority for such matters.

Re: Politics, if its a discussion that can be had by people who have no knowledge of Jewish sources, it doesn't belong in this group.
Keep in mind, this is a *moderated* rather than *curated* group. This means that the admin do not control what gets posted. It also means that the admin reserve the right to remove any content that causes problems. It also also means that the admin reserve the right to take as long as necessary to determine whether something warrants removal.
