The Edward Foundation

The Edward Foundation is a N/A group. It is a CLOSED group. There are 5,112 participants in that group. So people rank it like a Large group. 396268023779072 is the identifier of this group with Facebook. 2015-03-25 21:59:31 is the closest date we have information about it.

The Edward Foundation began in March 2011 when via The Bulldog Owners Forum, we were made aware of a Bulldog who was being advertised at stud and a later for sale. We could see from the pictures on the ad that he had issues with his skin and was later decided that members of the forum where happy to 'club together' to buy Buster, now named Edward.

Once we safely had Edward in our possession it was clear to see that he had severe demodex, was extremely thin and needed a lot of TLC.

We handed him over to Bulldog Rescue, where they took much time and devotion to get Edward to full health. He was later rehomed and is enjoying a fantastic, loving life with owners who really care about him.

This inspired us to start this foundation in honour of Edward and we have helped save several bulldogs since.

We are NOT Bulldog Rescue, any other form of Rescue and neither are we on some mad crusade to help every Bulldog that is being sold. That is an impossibility.

We will, if need be, help out Bulldogs in need that will in no way, be surrendered to Bulldog Rescue by their owners. We only help out dogs that, we feel, are at risk, in danger, or have various health issues that need to be addressed. If Bulldog Rescue have room and are able to help, we will gift these dogs to them to help care for them with the end result, Bulldog Rescue will rehome them via their homing policy. If we feel we have a suitable home waiting for a bulldog that just needs TLC and someone to love them properly then we will allow the bulldog to be rehomed to the party concerned BUT we ask that they pay a fair percentage of the initial cost back into the fund. We DO NOT give away free bulldogs.

We work purely on donations and will not and cannot purchase these 'high risk' dogs without help. 100% of donations received are used purely for these dogs and De donates 100% of any money made from show photographs to the fund also.

The Admin on this site have the final say on which dogs we help as we come from different Bulldog backgrounds and can dig in a little deeper as to what the real story behind it may be.

We rely on a network of people we trust helping with transport, accommodation etc for said dogs but the end result is to get these abused/neglected dogs out of their current situation and hopefully offer them a better life.

We have a valid PayPal account theedwardfoundation@aol.com which receives donations purely for this reason and is monitored by Admin on this site.
